Miss Carol Ann Krahnke and Rodney Gerhardt Riedel exchanged marriage vows at a 4:00 p.m. ceremony Saturday at the First English Lutheran church, Whitewater, with the Rev. Warren K. Sigwalt officiating. 
 

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Clarence E. Krohnke, Whitewater, and Mr. and Mrs. Gerhardt H. Riedel, Colby. 
 

Miss Krahnke was attired in a gown of peau de soie fashioned with sweetheart neckline outlined with Alencon lace. A lace half-hat trimmed with pearls and sequins secured her silk illusion finger tip veil and she carried a cascade bouquet of white and pink roses and stephanotis, centered with a white orchid. 
 

Chosen as maid of honor was Mrs. Donald Sentz, Milwaukee, a cousin of the brides, wearing a waltz length, princess styled gown in two tone blue taffeta. The bridesmaids, Misses Betty Kapel, Edgar; Ruth Thielke, Ripon; Diantha Dohrman, Oshkosh, and Mrs. Lee Swett, Kenosha, wore frocks of two tone pink taffeta in waltz length princess style. They all carried bouquets of roses and blue chrysanthemums. 
 

Attired in a frock of the style and color of Mrs. Sentz was the junior bridesmaid, Miss Donna Jean Braunschweig, a cousin of the bride. Pamela Brick was flower girl. 
 

Duane Riedel, of Colby, was the best man and groomsmen were Norbert Riedel, Marshfield; Marvin Braunschweig, Farmington, and Donald Sentz, Milwaukee, cousins of the bride and groom, and Larry Krenzien of Los Alamos, N.M. Junior groomsman was Donald Krahnke, and Dean Hollinger was ring bearer. Ushering was done by Charles Brick and Joseph Gribble, Jr. 
 

Mothers of the couple wore frocks of rose cape with white accessories for Mrs. Krahnke and sandalwood nylon lace with matching accessories for Mrs. Riedel. Each wore a white orchid corsage. 
 

A reception dinner was served to 400 at the Whitewater armory. 
 

The new Mrs. Riedel attended school at Whitewater and is a graduate of Oshkosh State College and is now teaching third grade at Lincoln school at Marshfield. Her husband, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, is now employed as a laboratory technician at Wuerthrick’s Creamery, at Greenwood. 
 

The young couple will reside at 301 South Cherry Avenue, Marshfield, on their return from a honeymoon in the West.
